Job Description

At Danfoss Silicon Power we are currently looking for a Lab Technician (m/f/d) Power Electronics to join our R&D team in Ismaning, Munich area. In this role you will oversee our lab equipment and execute validation measurements of our self-developed power modules within our newly renovated and world-class level equipped lab, the “SiC Center of Excellence”.

Job Responsibilities

Our power modules are used in several industries e.g. Automotive, Renewables, and others. Within our R&D team you will be the first point of contact for testing these modules. You will be responsible for test-bench planning, operation, and maintenance. Your tasks will not only cover test-bench set-up and performing validation measurements but also continuously improving the lab infrastructure and taking care about administrative topics (e.g. resource planning, maintenance, calibration and documentation). In close collaboration with our specialists, you will also be involved in the design and build-up of unique new test-benches.

Background & Skills

For this position you hold a certified electrical technician degree or equivalent educational background in electrical engineering with first years of experience from a university, scientific or corporate testing environment / laboratory. Additionally, we are looking for: 

  • Good knowledge in Power Electronics testing processes 
  • Knowledge in Power Module testing is a plus (e.g. double pulse testing, static characterization)
  • Very good knowledge of safety standards and guidelines in power electronics labs
  • High self-motivation and ability to organize own tasks 
  • Team-oriented and motivated to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Very good German and English skills
