We're looking for a Senior backend developer to join our growing Ally Cloud solutions team where we are building the future cloud for our smart thermostats and maintaining existing software platforms for B2C and B2B customers.

Job Responsibilities

We are developing a world class cloud infrastructure for our Ally products using approaches like Domain-driven Design and Clean Architecture on top of an Event-Driven architecture using modern technologies like .Net, React, Azure, MongoDB, Containers and Databricks and talking to IoT devices using e.g. Zigbee. We are now looking for a Software developer who are strong and experienced in backend software development with a high-quality mindset. We welcome you to our modern, dynamic, ambitious, and global development team who knows how to have fun, and who fully empowers team members.

Some of the key activities will include:

• Collaborating with the team in shaping and refining software architecture designs for optimal performance and scalability

• Designing and implementing new features 

• Collaborating with our external partners 

• Engaging in code reviews to maintain code quality and contributing to the continuous improvement of development practices.

• Playing a crucial role in developing software solutions at every stage of the product development life cycle.

• Collaborating with product management on the technical aspects.

• Staying updated on the latest trends and technologies, and actively incorporating new advancements into our development processes.

Background & Skills

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF you are a motivated and committed Backend developer with a collaborative and open-minded attitude and you have experience developing software in a modern software development environment.

On top of that, you should be able to checkmark some of the points listed below:

• University degree in Computer and Information science 

• At least 6 years of experience in software development   

• Fluent in .Net 

• Experience in backend software development 

• Experience in DevOps or DevSecOps

• Experience in agile working methods (SCRUM) and Continuous integration principles

• Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases

• Experience with IoT communication protocols like Zigbee  

• Experience in data engineering is an advantage

• Practical experience working with Azure is an advantage
