Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an experienced Field Systems Engineer, who will be responsible for providing world-class technical support for the Danfoss Product Portfolio for the Cooling division with a focus on Industrial refrigeration.
In this position, you will work closely with Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers, providing technical support for Danfoss products related to the Cooling segment to our customers: OEM / Contractors / wholesalers in North Europe (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, UK, Ireland).
You will provide expertise on components/systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and general support in the selection, qualification, and application of Danfoss products. Additionally, you will ensure the transfer of knowledge of critical applications, obtained in the field, to the factories to improve our current products and help the development of new and innovative products in line with the current technological evolution.
This position is based out of Kolding, Denmark.
Job Responsibilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:
- Provide relevant technical support to customers and sales for existing and future business.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers for quality topics, mostly for application-related discussions.
- Be the voice of the customer within Danfoss Cooling organization for application-related matters and bring critical application knowledge obtained in the field to the organization to improve existing products and support the development of new products.
- Identify the critical sales factors from a technical standpoint in customer projects and propose/drive activities to achieve them.
- Participate in/Perform product and training presentations including new product introductions.
- Handle specific customer requests with other Danfoss Cooling departments.
- Ensure products are being properly handled/installed at the customer factory level.
- Coordinate technical decisions with factories, Account Managers.
- Maintain and cultivate customer relationships with an emphasis on key decision makers; Frequently visit customers to improve overall visibility and customer loyalty.
- Share and discuss system and application know-how in a regional team of experienced and professional Field Service Engineers.
- Write reports and documentation.
Background & Skills
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, with a focus on ammonia installations.

Strong knowledge of vapor compression systems, heat transfer processes, and related product technologies.

Experience with electronic components such as unit controllers, EEXV controllers, and sensors.

Ability to understand and analyze the interactions between refrigeration circuit components and their impact on reliability and efficiency.

Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to work as part of a global team.

Customer-focused with strong coordination and communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Willingness to travel regularly across Northern Europe (approximately 10% travel time).
