Danfoss Editron is looking for an experienced Sourcing Project Manager to lead initiatives targeting cost optimizations. This is a pivotal role in the organization as increased cost competitiveness of the products which helps to accelerate the electrification journey.

  

The position can be located in either Denmark (Nordborg, Kolding) or Finland (Lappeenranta). You should expect travelling within primarily Europe (est. 30 working days pr. year).

Job Responsibilities

 

As a Sourcing Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing cost related to power electronics and electric motors.

 

The position involves leading idea generation, business case creation, strategic sourcing and negotiations to achieve the desired results. The goal is to enhance profitability while maintaining quality and reliability of the product.

 

Key responsibilities:

- Create and control the pipeline of saving initiatives, including associated timelines

- Engage with multiple functions internally and externally to generate saving ideas

- Develop budget for the savings, including Business Case and Total Cost of Ownership models

- Lead the saving initiatives to ensure delivery of the baselined targets in a timely manner

- Facilitate communication between Danfoss and suppliers to ensure requirements alignment

- Lead negotiations and manage all aspects of the agreements and supplier relationships

- Assess risks associated with cost reduction strategies

- Ensure the adherence to internal- and customer processes to ensure Quality of the process and product, including PPAP

- Cooperate with cost analysis team to understand the cost targets

Background & Skills

 

There are several paths into this job.

You have a relevant technical degree - BSc or MSc in HW engineering or another technical field.

You have excellent experience with procurement or related project management.

Finally, you have a good command of English, both verbally and in writing.

 

Furthermore, we expect that you to have:

- Business/financial acumen in order to drive the business case

- Demonstrated ability of running projects within automotive/regulated industry

- C.P.M. or C.P.I.M. and/or PMP certification is a plus

- Experience within electric motors and power electronics

- Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO16949, APQP. PPAP)
