We are currently looking to expand the team with a Welding Technician, so if you are a passionate welding professional, highly motivated to improve quality throughout our supply chain we would like to hear from you.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for welding coordination, welding log, and inhouse welding competences. Your job will ensure welding related quality systems and standards are in place, used and followed.

 

Locations

The position will be based in our 3 manufacturing sites in Kolding (Jernet) and Christiansfeld, Denmark (onsite). 

Job Responsibilities

 

As Welding Technician, you will be responsible for driving and executing on all activities in regards of welding coordination in accordance with relevant standards. Keeping track of changes, new standards, and requirements within welding area.

 

You will lead and participate in the continuous improvement process to support the execution of improvement projects in line with the quality plan.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

 

• Participate in our ASME U projects and coordinate inspections and approvals.

• Secure needed welding documentation is developed and implemented before product and process changes are released (Change Control).

• Act as a facilitator to make sure quality tools is used in all relevant manufacturing processes and that the tools are used in the right way - including validation of rework/repair processes (q-release).

• Participate and facilitate problem solving activities in the line such as RCPS, Q-stop, etc.

• Incoming inspection and maintenance of inspection plans for relevant materials. Handling material certificates and securing traceability and Project documentation.

 

Background & Skills

 

To succeed in this position, you must have the ability to developed welding processes, maintained in compliance with welding standards, customer specific requirements and the QMS.

 

You demonstrate a proactive and executional mindset with a structured approach being able to continuously improve performance to meet the quality objectives and targets.

 

You have good communication and collaborative skills with a sound interest and flair for understanding standards and turning the content into usable SOP's and work routines for our employees.

 

 

Furthermore, we expect that you have:

  • An associate's degree program in welding technology or a certificate of completion in welding (engineering or with relevant field of study).
  • 3-5 years’ work experience within welding (preferably with ASME U experience).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing products & processes.
  • Knowledge of core quality tools such as APQP (TS Toolbox).
  • Fluent and comprehensive English skills, both verbally and in writing (speaking Danish will be an advantage).
