This role is a for a highly skilled Design Quality Specialist to drive the Quality Reliability in our product development projects in Danfoss Hydronics. In this role, you will be part of a development team to ensure the Voice of Customer and product reliability overall. You will collaborate closely with an international cross-functional team, including design engineers, quality engineers, and product managers, to ensure that our brand value is sustained for our products. Design Quality Specialist will join our development projects for our electronic and software-based and digital portfolio within Hydronics division. 


This role will be based at our office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and will require a small amount of travel (typically 5-10 days per year).
 

Job Responsibilities

As Design Quality Specialist, you will hold responsibility for:

  • Facilitating the Design Quality process within Product Development Teams, meaning guiding the team through FMEA process as facilitator to ensure Voice of Customers and design quality target for our products. 
  • Accountability for signing of the major deliverables as Customer Requirement Specifications and Product Specifications, and following up to ensure these are updated throughout the project life cycle.
  • Developing the quality maturity throughout the project, assessing and validating product tests and test scope coverage.  
  • Monitoring and documenting the progress of different deliverables within the milestone development model, and ensuring visibility of recommended, but still missing tasks.     
  • Sharing learnings and best practice from the different development projects across an internal network of  Design Quality Specialists and other peers
  • Building awareness within the HydronicS RD&E organization, and beyond, on the APQP practices and tools.
     

Background & Skills

To thrive in this role as Design Quality Specialist, we would expect you to demonstrate:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, alternatively Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or similar relevant discipline.
  • Preferably experience within an R&D-oriented organization, where you have demonstrated the ability, personality, interest and will to drive FMEA processes, ensuring high quality of branded products. 
  • Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience using a suite of quality tools, including APQP, FMEA, CRS, PS, PTAP etc.
  • An ability to influence and use your good negotiation skills to win buy-in from management on ideas and concepts.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • A strong working knowledge of quality management standards, including IATF16949, ISO9001, and EN17025.

 

You need to be comfortable in working within a global and multicultural organization with a changing environment.
