We are looking for a senior DevOps engineer to help us build our new Cloud solutions platform.
 

The role & the team

In the department Danfoss Digital Services we are looking for a (Senior) DevOps Engineer to join our new District Heating Utility project team. The goal is to build a next-generation cloud platform for end-to-end optimization in district heating networks, including network simulation tools and production optimization solutions. The position is in our office in Ljubljana, but we are open to flexible work arrangements as well. You will join a strong and committed development team with colleagues in several locations within Europe. Our Global DevOps lead is also located in Slovenia with whom you will define the infrastructure for our new platform. Besides your daily development team, you will have a strong link to our global DevOps guild, where you will meet fellow DevOps specialists who will be able to support you on project-related tasks and where you will be updated on the latest new innovations within Digital service.

 

If you accept the challenge, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating in Cloud architecture design, develop and maintain our new cloud infrastructure for the platform –our tech stack is built on Azure Environment consisting of Kubernetes, Grafana, Terraform, Ansible, MongoDB, InfluxDB and various 3rd party services.
  • Develop a monitoring solution for 24/7 cloud monitoring.
  • Automatization, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure.
  • Supporting product management (technical aspect) and system integrators.
  • Collaborating with sales, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Help deploy our solution globally.
     

We'd love to meet you if...

You are an experienced DevOps Engineer who know how to ensure a stable cloud experience both for our customers and the development team. Your background includes extensive collaboration within development teams, thriving in dynamic software development environments.


On top of that, you should be able to checkmark some of the points listed below:

  • Preferably a university degree in Computer and Information science or Electrical Engineering. 
  • Experience with Azure, Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Experience with monitor and logging, preferably Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Expertise in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Experience with modern object-oriented programming languages.
  • Strong scripting skills.
  • Active knowledge of English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels and with different stakeholders.
  • Strong and pragmatic troubleshooting, problem solving and root cause analysis skills, ability to recognize "big picture".
