Danfoss offers an exceptional opportunity for a new member of the Procurement team, who will be responsible for sourcing and supplier management activities for new product development projects.
Sourcing Project Manager will work closely with Procurement Team, Project Team members, suppliers and other internal stakeholders.
Your key role will be the sourcing strategy and supplier engagement for new product development projects, ensuring the right suppliers, right cost, right quality, and right timing for successful product launches. You can also expect business travel if needed for assuring Project targets.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead sourcing activities for new project development projects, with primary focus on electronics but also on other materials as plastics, packaging and different accessories.
- Prepare, issue, and manage RFQs, analyse supplier quotations, and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Act as the procurement representative within cross-functional project teams, ensuring timely supplier involvement throughout the product development cycle.
- Ensure project targets related to cost, quality, lead time, manufacturability, and supplier readiness are achieved.
- Collaboration and support in implementing new product development projects into serial production
- Maintaining purchasing data in the ERP system for new codes.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Background in the electronics industry or electronics-related products/components.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills across different organizational levels.
- Analytical, proactive, and results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic procurement environment; purchasing experience in manufacturing is an advantage but not required.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
