Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an experienced manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team at our Longmont, CO facility. This individual will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continual improvement. They will need to have excellent interpersonal communication skills to deal with customers, coworkers and suppliers. Previous experience in the automotive or other highly regulated industry is required. This position will report directly to the Quality Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Driving continual improvement thru irreversible corrective actions to field issues, process capability and incoming inspection analysis.
- Implementation/maintenance of Calibration/Measurement System Analysis systems.
- Adherence and improvement of Quality Management System thru document control
- Ability to conduct and drive adherence to certification thru internal auditing.
- Analyze and drive continual improvement thru Quality Metrics (reliability data, PPM, cost)
- Some travel may be required (10-20% max)
Background & Skills
- College degree in technical field preferably electrical or software engineering.
- Preferred experience in following quality tools: PPAP, MSA, calibration, Control Plans, PFMEA, and detailed manufacturing work instructions
- Previous quality engineering experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment required with preferred experience with the standard IATF 16949:2016.
- Required experience in using problem solving skills such as 8D’s, 5 why’s, fishbone diagrams etc
- Proficient at use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and a statistical analysis program such as Minitab
- Preferred experience with IMDS.
Compensation Data
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,00-$88,000/year. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
