Job Description

Join our team and be a part of the electrification revolution! At our Longmont Colorado location we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our power electronics design team. In this position you will be responsible from taking designs from concept into production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design of power electronics and control circuits for Electric and Hybrid electric vehicles including DC-DC converters, 3 phase motor drives, and AC inverters.  
  • Take designs from concept into production, including design, documentation, design validation testing, debug, field return root cause failure analysis, corrective actions, and ECO/ECN preparation.    
  • Perform product lifecycle work for DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and DFA activities.

Background & Skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    BS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power Electronics.
•    Experience with power supply design.
•    Analog and digital schematic design, PCB layout, testing and debugging experience.
•    Experience using test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, power supplies and multimeters.
•    Experience with circuit simulation software.
•    Experience designing high voltage and high current circuits and switching components.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    A minimum of 3 years related experience is needed for this position.
 
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
•    MS in electronics or related field.
•    Knowledge of motor control theory. 
•    Controls systems experience.
•    Embedded Firmware experience.
•    Training in signal integrity and EMC.
•    Familiar with CAN bus and related software tools.
•    Experience with requirements management tools, issue tracking tools and code versioning tools.
•    Design for ISO26262 Functional Safety Experience.
•    Automotive Industry Experience
•    5 years experience in related field.

Compensation Data

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $91,000-$114,000/year. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
