Danfoss is currently hiring an Inside Sales Engineer at our world class Loves Park, IL facility.  There has never been a better time to join our global company. Our Inside Sales Engineers are part of the Commercial & Operational Excellence team and will be responsible for driving sales in North America. Danfoss sees the North American market as critical to long term success and this role will be on the front line to support the realization of our goals. 

Job Responsibilities

 

An Inside Sales Engineer will work alongside a team of others supporting various business segments within the Drives organization. The Inside Sales team is in an exciting growth and development phase and is a critical component or our North American strategy.  This team works with our external sales team and channel partners to provide existing and future customers a world class experience.  Key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Generate quotations, submittals and project estimates utilizing a CRM, ERP, and quotation tools
  • Work closely with the external sales team in managing customer relations and opportunities to expand account portfolios
  • Collaborate with the inside sales team, engineering, and other relevant areas.
  • Utilize technical resources to offer solutions for customers
  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
  • Understand and educate on our products and service through phone or digital platforms
  • Qualify new leads and collaborate with external sales and partners (existing customers and new potential clients)
  • Provide a point of contact where customers can effectively navigate within Danfoss to get their questions answered. (orders, delivery, quotes, general product questions, etc.)
  • Other duties as defined

Background & Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a related field
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, SAP, SalesForce and Configit desired
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Independent worker and self-starter
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Variable Speed Drive and/or Electrical knowledge desired

 

The position will report to the Inside Sales Manager within the Commercial and Operational Excellence team supporting Americas Sales.
