What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Design and improve mechanical components and assemblies for existing product lines, supporting product performance, quality, reliability, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop, test, and validate new parts and design changes, including thermal, material, and qualification testing to ensure compliance with industry standards such as UL and IEC.
  • Collaborate across functions with manufacturing, production, quality, safety, and environmental teams to resolve assembly challenges and implement practical design improvements.
  • Support prototype development by overseeing build activities, evaluating performance, and ensuring designs meet technical and operational requirements.
  • Explore emerging technologies and engineering methods while maintaining accurate design documentation, engineering specifications, drawings, and project records.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, with solid experience in product design, product development, or engineering research.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo/Windchill or NX, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply engineering fundamentals, testing methods, and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with one or more of the following areas is preferred: Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA), thermal management for power electronics, industrial enclosure design, wire harness design, sheet metal, injection molding, extrusion, casting, CNC machining, or thermoforming processes.
  • Graduate degrees in related disciplines and strong project management capabilities are considered a plus.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000-$95,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
