Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a 1st Shift Production Associate ​to join us at our diverse team in Loves Park, IL. The Production Associate will be responsible for the assembly process in an assembly cell from set-up to testing.    

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Ability to train and certify forklift and tugger equipment and move material throughout the plant using forklift/tugger/hand truck equipment.   

  • Refill Kanban bins and deliver to appropriate area. Perform basic machine cleaning tasks. Operate an electrical lift, as needed. Handle a variety of different part numbers.   

  • Inspect both the process as well as final assemblies for quality requirements.  Monitor and report part shortages in the production system.   

  • Able to rotate and cross train across production areas and workstations, including material handling as determined by supervisor to meet business/customer needs.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Must be 18 years of age.  High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or 3 months related experience of Danfoss products is required.   

  • Valid Class C, or higher driver’s license (for backup truck driver) Ability to communicate verbally and understand written instructions in English.   

  • Working knowledge of quality/problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, Fishbone)   

  • Computer skills, (Microsoft Office, PLC, test stand).  Ability to read and understand hydraulic & electrical schematics. Familiarity with TPM and SMED techniques.
