We are seeking a self-driven Technical Product Manager for our Loves Park, IL site. The Product Management position is responsible for ownership and performance of products for their full lifecycle.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
 
•    Ensure that products have a robust design, high level of quality, and are competitive throughout the entire product life cycle.
•    Provide general specifications to product development teams for new products.
•    Manage product adaptations based on customer specific requests.
•    Support aftermarket sales organization with customer applications.
•    Participate in product development projects representing our customers.
•    Provide customer feedback for new product specifications and product improvements.
•    Develop launch strategies for new products in coordination with cross functional launch team.
•    Develop technical literature for new products in coordination with technical literature group.
•    Ensure quality and call rate is according to target measurements.
•    Ensure cost down targets are met.

•    BS/BA degree in Engineering required (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred).
•    2+ years in technical or applications role for an industrial products manufacturing company. Experience in a very similar product area (drives, motors, electromechanical or electrical controls,) is strongly preferred.
•    Should have a broad base of business knowledge in addition to technical knowledge.
•    Able to deal technically with complete systems involving complex technical components. 
•    Experienced at analyzing customer needs and defining solutions. 
•    Must have outstanding customer communication skills. 
•    Strong team player – enjoys working with others.
•    Innovative style and approach to problem solving.
•    Highly motivated with strong sense of urgency.
•    Position requires domestic and international travel.
