We have an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our diverse team in Freeport, IL. This role entails operating and setting up conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble both metallic and nonmetallic components by performing the outlined tasks. The wage range for this position is $20.34 to $22.50.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Adheres strictly to safety regulations and actively promotes workplace safety.
- Complies with all standard operating procedures, control plans, processes, and quality standards.
- Efficiently sets up, operates, and dismantles unit assembly and sub-assembly workstations.
- Exhibits flexibility in methods and ideas, responds positively to changes, and supports updates in procedures, processes, technology, responsibilities, and assignments.
- Accurately fits and assembles parts into complete units, ensuring precise dimensions and proper alignment of assemblies.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
