As our Maintenance Intern, you’ll play a key role in strengthening how our Maintenance team plans, tracks, and improves equipment reliability at our Tallahassee site. Your work will directly support smarter use of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), IBM Maximo, helping transform maintenance data into actionable insights.
Your impact? A more organized and efficient spare parts inventory, clearer visibility into maintenance performance, and improved planning and scheduling that enable our technicians to work more effectively. You’ll help ensure the right parts are available at the right time, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
You’ll collaborate closely with Maintenance Technicians, the Maintenance Manager, and cross-functional partners, contributing to a more data-driven, efficient, and reliable maintenance operation.
What You’ll Be Doing

- Analyze and manipulate large data sets from Maximo and spreadsheets to support inventory and maintenance decisions
- Help establish minimum and maximum inventory levels for spare parts using historical usage and technician input
- Assist with developing maintenance dashboards and performance metrics (e.g., maintenance KPIs)
- Support spare parts organization by helping design layouts for warehouse and point-of-use storage areas
- Draft and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to maintenance and inventory processes
- Participate in hands-on field activities alongside Maintenance Technicians, including documentation and organization support
- Assist with improvement projects such as process mapping, plant layout updates, data analysis, and operational problem-solving
- Conduct observations and time studies as needed to support engineered standards and efficiency improvements

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A problem-solving mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Nice to Have:
