As our Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing Manufacturing Engineering activities—including Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and functional support on Process Engineering—to maximize efficiency and meet customer and organizational expectations.
Your impact? You’ll design, develop, evaluate, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes and systems in close alignment with Operations, ensuring strong functional alignment with the Danfoss Business System.
You’ll collaborate with Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams and take ownership of key engineering processes, helping us move toward a more efficient and capability‑driven future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design, development, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and systems to meet customer and internal demand, with strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Support manufacturing and quality teams by ensuring processes and controls consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, troubleshooting issues, and enabling fast problem resolution—including direct customer communication when needed.
- Collaborate with operations across all shifts to effectively implement process changes, and with quality teams on customer issues, ensuring aligned and timely responses.
- Use your skills in process engineering, tooling, equipment selection, and analytical problem‑solving to improve production performance, documentation, and standardization of work practices.
- Continuously learn and share knowledge by staying updated on new manufacturing technologies, recommending improvements, and overseeing development of new methods, equipment, and production controls.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of precision machining processes (grinding, honing, lapping) and time‑study/estimation expertise.
- Hands‑on experience with PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, structured problem‑solving (7‑Step PDCA / 8D), Lean Manufacturing, systematic layout planning, and familiarity with tools, sensors, vision systems, and assembly equipment; proficiency in AutoCAD / Pro‑E.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels—from the shop floor to management—and support cross‑functional problem solving and implementation activities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, enabling clear interaction with internal teams and customers on technical issues and resolutions.
- Proactive ownership, strong problem‑solving orientation, continuous improvement mindset, and ability to drive results throughout the project lifecycle; knowledge of ISO9001/TS16949 standards preferred.
