The Impact You'll Make

 

Danfoss is currently looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to become a key player in our operations. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a master production schedule that serves as the heartbeat of our factory. By aligning with our Sales, Inventory, and Operations Plan (SIOP), your schedule will guide our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to ensure that we optimize capacity, manage inventory effectively, and meet our customers' expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Master Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and level-load a valid master schedule based on the SIOP sales goals, ensuring it reflects all known capacity and material constraints along with any unique demands of the customer. 
  • MRP & Production Execution: Direct the MRP system to generate accurate purchase requisitions and detailed production schedules for the shop floor. Release workload timely to the machines, assembly and shipping areas considering the capacity constraints of each area.  
  • Priority Management: Lead weekly demand control reviews, communicating order priorities and quantities to the plant to meet performance goals for on-time delivery, past-due orders, and inventory. 
  • Customer Focus: Proactively communicate with Customer Service to resolve any orders that cannot be fulfilled as requested. Monitor sales order dates to highlight and close gaps in customer expectations. 
  • Operational Planning: Provide essential input to the Operations team for short-term and long-term planning regarding headcount, shifts, and capital investments needed to achieve the sales plan. 
  • Problem Solving: Resolve demand and supply conflicts within 24 hours of order entry. Investigate and help correct the root causes of inventory errors. 
  • Process Improvement: Perform regular audits of item master data and lead times. Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by managing the impact of engineering,  changes on inventory and customer orders. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Assist with inventory control projects to improve accuracy and OTD.  

What We're Looking For

 

 

Required Background & Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain. 
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is required. 
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to perform well in a demanding environment. 
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal). 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in a complex, high-mix industrial manufacturing environment. 
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
