The Supply Chain Analytics & Planning Analyst develops analytical tools and models that improve global supply planning, shortage visibility, inventory optimization, and capacity planning. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Materials, Operations, and IT teams to transform data into actionable insights that support better decision-making and improve customer delivery performance.
Success in this role is measured by improved planning visibility, proactive risk identification, inventory performance, and supply chain decision effectiveness.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop analytics models and tools for shortage prediction, supply risk management, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
- Analyze supplier performance, lead-time variability, inventory levels, backlog, capacity constraints, and material availability.
- Create dashboards, reports, alerts, and scenario-planning tools to support supply chain and leadership decision-making.
- Partner with Global Supply Chain Planning and Materials teams to translate analytics into actionable supply, inventory, and recovery plans.
- Support material and inventory segmentation strategies based on criticality, risk, and demand variability.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data quality, governance, reporting, and system integration.
- Validate model performance, document assumptions, and continuously improve analytical tools and processes.
- Present clear and actionable insights to Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and leadership teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, shortage mitigation, and planning effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience developing analytical, forecasting, optimization, or simulation models for supply chain or operations environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in supply planning, inventory management, capacity planning, procurement, or manufacturing analytics.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and business intelligence tools.
Job Criteria
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting, optimization, scenario planning, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics and reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze inventory, supplier performance, lead times, shortages, capacity constraints, and operational risks.
- Working knowledge of supply planning, S&OE processes, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and business audiences.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to translate data into practical business actions.
