Danfoss is seeking a Test Lab Technician to join our Fluid Conveyance Test Lab team in Maumee, Ohio, reporting to the Lab Team Leader. This position is responsible for conducting standardized hydraulic testing of fluid conveyance products, collecting and documenting test data, and ensuring testing is completed in accordance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and Danfoss procedures.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality and safety, and the ability to independently execute assigned testing activities while collaborating effectively with engineers, technicians, and laboratory personnel.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform hydraulic test methods and procedures for fluid conveyance products in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Set up, operate, and adjust testing equipment and apparatus to ensure compliance with test requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and document performance data during testing and compile results into Engineering Test Reports for internal and external customers.
- Follow established laboratory procedures, department standards, and company policies while maintaining a consistent flow of high-quality work.
- Interpret written and verbal instructions from engineers and apply fundamental problem-solving skills to support testing activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through adherence to 6S principles and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with peers, engineering teams, and management regarding testing progress, results, and technical issues.
- Complete required training and continuously develop technical knowledge and laboratory capabilities.

What We're Looking For
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of relevant industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or technical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a testing, engineering, manufacturing, or related technical environment.
- Basic knowledge of fluid power or hydraulic systems.
Job Criteria
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
- Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and test data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with laboratory testing.
