Job Title:  Mechanical Engineer
Req ID:  48554
Job Location (Short):  Kolding, DNK
Employment Type:  Full Time
Segment:  Group Functions CEO
Job Category:  R&D, Technology and Engineering
Work Location Type:  Hybrid

The Impact You'll Make

If you are inspired by using your mechanical creativity to turn insight into real world technology, this role offers that opportunity.
In IXA, we develop exhaust gas measurement and analysis solutions for the maritime industry, where reliability, precision, and robust mechanical design are critical to our customers’ daily operations.

Your work transforms mechanical concepts into solutions built for real operating conditions - from heavy duty constructions to highly accurate, fine mechanical parts. Through hands on testing, design work, and insights from field test and repair data, you help strengthen product durability and performance from one development step to the next.

You’ll be part of an R&D environment where mechanical engineering is closely connected to production, type approvals, and field performance, allowing you to see your solutions move from CAD to proven technology operating in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor to create robust, reliable solutions for our existing and new IXA products.
  • Plan and execute type approval activities so products meet the standards required for the applications of our products.
  • Prepare and coordinate handovers to Production to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to a manufacturable product.
  • Analyze field service and repair data to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen mechanical performance over time.
  • Run hands-on field and lab tests and provide technical support to verify mechanical functionality and support customers and internal teams - including occasional travel

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Experience with mechanical design and CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor
  • Practical skills in testing, validation and mechanical quality assurance.
  • Understanding of production processes and how products move from prototype to manufacturable product, including material knowledge
  • Ability to analyze service and repair data and communicate findings clearly in English both in written and verbal.

What You'll Get from Us

  • We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  • You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  • We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  • You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
