HR Manager

The Human Resources Manager provides HR Support to the Senior HR Manager, Leaders, and Employees creating an engaged and productive workforce through Danfoss Drives policies, programs and practices.
This position will provide direct support for:
- Recruiting and Onboarding
- Payroll Administration
- Company sponsored events
- Compliance with all applicable policies and procedures
- Benefits Administration
- Leave Management
- Employee Education and Training
- Immigration Management
- HR Auditing and Reporting
- Worker's Compensation Administration
- Interpret and apply human resource policies, procedures and programs, ensuring consistent application while working with management to provide solutions that balance business and employee needs in compliance with Company policy
- Partner with Corporate payroll to ensure the payroll process functions smoothy and effectively and provide all data entry into HRIS for new hires and employment changes
- Communicate and administer benefits and compensation programs consistent with plan design and provisions
- Administer disability and FMLA programs, with a focus on effective management
- Act as a resource and advisor to employees and managers
- Support the development and implementation of organization change initiatives
- Support activites to improve employee satisfaction, motivation and engagement in the business
- Facilitate and maintain a new hire orientation program for successful new hire socialization and transition into the organization, an introduction into the business, and familiarization with Company policy and procedure
- Provide guidance to managers to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Supports and assists in the recruitment efforts to high quality talent for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to esteblished goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvments in efficiency of the department and services performed
- Maintains human resource information records and compiles reports from HRIS
- Coordinate and facilitate employee action groups and other employee teams
- Promote and foster a healthy working environment; raise awareness of available programs to assist employees
- Prepare/coordinate events ex: holiday celebrations, employee recognition events, service awards, community support
- Perform worker's comp intake processing; support applicable leave of abscence/return to workadministration at the facility level
- Escalate major issues to Senior HR Manager when appropriate
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Labor Studies, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced and demanding environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior HR work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- PHR/SHRM-SCP
Other Competencies:
- Knowledge of Human Resources concepts, state and federal employment laws, and EEOC requirements
- Diplomat, sensitive and adaptable to the needs of people from different cultures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
