The Impact You'll Make

 

You will play a key role in expanding Danfoss Drives' presence in the North American Metals industry, helping leading manufacturers improve productivity, reliability, and energy efficiency through advanced drive solutions.
 
By building trusted relationships with metals producers and plant decision-makers, you will influence critical investments across steel mills, aluminum facilities, processing plants, and other heavy industrial operations. Your work will help customers achieve their operational and sustainability goals while driving growth for Danfoss.
 
This is a high-impact role where your commercial expertise and industry knowledge will directly shape how Danfoss supports the future of metals manufacturing across North America.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans focused on Metals end users, including steel, aluminum, copper, and other metal processing facilities throughout North America.
  • Build strong relationships with plant leadership, engineering, operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to identify opportunities and drive adoption of Danfoss Drives solutions.
  • Position variable frequency drive (VFD) solutions for critical applications including rolling mills, material handling systems, pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and process equipment.
  • Influence specifications and capital projects by engaging customers early in the decision-making process and supporting both modernization and new facility investments.
  • Partner closely with sales, application engineering, and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Seasoned professional in Metals business development, with extensive experience in sales, account management, or market development focused on industrial end users.
  • Strong knowledge of VFDs, motor control systems, and industrial automation, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for customers.
  • Proven success building strategic relationships with metals producers and key plant stakeholders across engineering, operations, maintenance, and procurement functions.
  • Confident communicator who can effectively engage both technical and commercial decision-makers and influence complex purchasing decisions.
  • Self-driven and commercially minded, with the ability to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.

    The US based full-time position that is eligible for bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
