Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a Computer Vision Co-op on the Autonomy team at the Danfoss Innovation Accelerator (DIA) in Cambridge, MA for the Summer/Fall Semester.

Job Responsibilities

  • Developing cutting edge computer vision solutions to improve our autonomous capabilities
  • Leverage the power of Machine Learning to develop state of the art solutions for the pressing customer requirements
  • Push the boundary of current autonomous control library capabilities by bringing in machine learning based solutions
  • Engage and collect diverse data sources to improve and enrich your solution
  • Creating visualizations to explain complex computer vision problems
  • Optimize runtime, memory performance and create efficient solutions for applications that need to work in real-time
  • Develop, test, and pilot your solution
  • Deploy the machine learning application on edge devices

Background & Skills

  • Currently seeking an advanced degree in computer science/electrical engineering/machine learning/data science
  • Practical understanding of machine learning, data structures, statistics, and data storage/retrieval
  • Experience with machine learning in practical robotics applications
  • Proficiency in Python and intermediate level knowledge of C
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

 

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to required qualifications)

  • Experience with data annotation and data visualization
  • Familiarity with LiDAR Sensor and sensor fusion strategies
  • Experience in developing machine learning models in TensorFlow and TensorFlow Lite
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and passion for learning new technologies.
