Are you a trade compliance expert who is ready to be a strategic business partner? As our new Trade Compliance Specialist, you will do more than just ensure compliance; you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers and sales teams, helping them navigate the complex world of international trade.
This is a unique, customer-facing role where you will be the go-to expert on complex issues like tariff mitigation projects. You will translate intricate regulations into practical, cost-saving strategies that directly impact our customers' competitiveness and strengthen their partnership with Danfoss.
Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on our business. You will be at the forefront of identifying tariff mitigation opportunities and developing the strategies that give our customers a critical edge in the market.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as the primary trade compliance partner for our customers, providing expert guidance on tariffs, import requirements, and duty optimization opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, and lead tariff mitigation strategies, including Section 232 exemptions and Free Trade Agreement opportunities, to deliver tangible cost savings.
- Collaborate closely with our Sales and Commercial teams, providing them with the expert knowledge they need to support customer negotiations and business reviews.
- Translate complex trade data into clear, actionable business recommendations for both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with our customs brokers and internal logistics teams to ensure all import activities are executed flawlessly and remain fully compliant.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in international trade compliance, customs, or a related field, with a strong working knowledge of U.S. import regulations.
- Direct experience with Section 232 tariffs, duty optimization programs, and country-of-origin determination.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to turn trade data into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience with SAP or Global Trade Management (GTM) software is a plus

Our Commitment to Transparency
Salary range for this role is 93,000-144,000. Salary ranges listed reflect only primary location and currency. For local salary ranges and specific benefits in your preferred hiring location, please ask your Talent Acquisition representative for more information.
