The Impact You'll Make

 

As our Motion Application Trainee (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role in supporting the development, testing, and commissioning of servo motion applications within the Danfoss ecosystem.

 

Your impact? You will help deliver real, customer-focused solutions by configuring motion features, testing new functionalities, and producing demos and documentation. Your contributions will directly support application engineers, R&D teams, and internal/external stakeholders, helping Danfoss provide high-quality, innovative motion solutions.

 

You’ll collaborate with R&D, Application Engineering, Sales, and Product Launch teams, taking ownership of testing processes, demo preparation, and application documentation, helping us move toward a more innovative and efficient future.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Support the configuration, tuning, and testing of motion functions to ensure high-quality performance
  • Execute and document test cases for new firmware and motion application features
  • Assist in preparing demos, quick-start examples, and sample PLC programs for internal and external use
  • Collaborate with R&D, Application Engineering, Sales, and Product Launch teams on project initiatives and training sessions
  • Continuously learn and contribute to improving motion application processes, documentation, and knowledge sharing 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Computer Science with a focus on industrial automation
  • Solid understanding of control engineering (speed, torque, position loops) and familiarity with servo drives, motor control principles, and industrial motion systems
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge of at least one automation programming environment (Structured Text, Ladder, CFC, Codesys, IEC 61131-3) and basic PLC experience (Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff, Omron)
  • Strong communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to work effectively in structured lab and cross-functional environments
  • Passion for automation, robotics, and motion control, combined with a proactive, self-motivated mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
