The Impact You'll Make
The Instrumentation and Compliance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation and control systems while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, environmental, safety, and quality standards. This role supports operational reliability, process efficiency, and regulatory adherence through routine inspections, documentation, testing, and audit support activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Instrumentation & Controls
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation equipment including pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analytical devices.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on instrumentation assets.
- Verify accuracy and functionality of process control equipment through testing and calibration.
- Assist with control system upgrades, equipment commissioning, and project implementation.
- Maintain detailed calibration, maintenance, and repair records.
Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Ensure operations comply with company policies and applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct compliance inspections and audits
- Maintain documentation required for regulatory reporting and recordkeeping.
- Support investigations of compliance issues and help implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and verify adherence to environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Assist during regulatory inspections and third-party audits.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare reports related to calibration activities, maintenance work, inspections, and compliance findings.
- Update asset management, maintenance, and compliance tracking systems.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
Knowlledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to understand technical instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to industrial, manufacturing, utility, or maintenance environments.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, or process controls.
- OSHA safety training or equivalent safety certifications.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications
Safety
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
- Perform work in accordance with lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, and other safety requirements.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
