Job Description

At Danfoss, within the Manufacturing Excellence team for Smart Factories, we are currently looking for an Application Engineer Manufacturing Execution Systems (m/f/d) iNeumünster, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Application Engineer Manufacturing Execution Systems (m/f/d) you will drive the data driven manufacturing excellence for our hydrostatic components such as pumps and motors.

 

In detail you will:

  • Integrate and maintain MES & WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) standard modules (templates) incl. Hardware & Software installation, configuration, connections to ERP, data bases (eg. SQL) and all manufacturing assets.
  • Local system owner and first line contact for operations department for continuous improvement on system setup.  
  • Planning and execution of functional updates and system upgrades internally with Manufacturing-IT and externally with the partner for Manufacturing Execution Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Request for Change & Release Management for functional template updates.
  • Global harmonization within the team for Manufacturing Execution Systems and Warehouse Management Systems to keep global standard.
  • Close communication with all relevant Business Units, Manufacturing-IT & external partners.

Background & Skills

For this role, you must have a university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or other relevant technical field with experience in a data driven manufacturing environment. Ideally, you have worked as a Manufacturing Engineer with a deeper knowledge and affinity to IT-Systems in production. Additionally, we are looking for the following skills:

 

  • Experience in production processes, quality and business processes, Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Siemens CAD NX, CAM NX, Teamcenter
  • Programming knowledge (DNC, C#/CVI/Visual Basic)
  • Knowledge in IT Manufacturing Technology, Connectivity Data Middleware, SQL or Oracle Server, Serialization and DMC
  • Certified Project management skills and Business Management knowledge
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent German and English language skills
