Job Description

We are looking for a IoT Project Manager to join our Danfoss Power Solutions Project Management team.  

 

To strengthen the Project Management Team, Danfoss is looking for a Software Project Manager to work within IoT, CS & PLUS+1 Connect from one of our locations in Denmark, Spain or Slovakia. Ideal candidate could work from anywhere within the three countries. 

 

In this position, you will become an integrated part of our Project Management Team, managing, and motivating software developers across the globe, overseeing IoT Software Project Development from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities

Your overall mission will be to deliver software on time and of high quality with a clear and concise goal setting and good decision-making throughout the work with, often, complex projects and where precise communication turns out to be very important. Your primary responsibility will be to manage project proposals and time estimations for new projects, take ownership of RFQ activities in compliance with industry standards, and, in alignment with the hardware development schedules of associated products, provide clear and effective customer communication in both verbal and written forms, hereunder also through Power Point Presentations. Additional tasks and responsibilities you can expect:

  • Track status on milestones, deliverables, and change requests from internal or external customers. Management of external suppliers deliverable timing and quality expectations;
  • Plan and maintaining software milestone scope, resource allocation, milestone timing;
  • Take ownership and is accountability for project software deliverable outcomes;
  • Create and communicate strategies for customer or internal leadership for changes to schedule/scope, achieved milestones, recovery plans and other relevant information;
  • Maintain strict schedule alignment with the associated hardware development projects;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make presentations and work in group settings.

Background & Skills

For this position you have completed a degree in information technology, software development management, software or electrical engineering and bring a minimum of 5 years of work experience in project management and software development projects. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in IoT Software Development;
  • Experience with processes and tools for requirements management, change and configuration management;
  • Experience with software test methodologies and tools and development of test plans for software systems;
  • Experience with agile, iterative, waterfall and other software development methodologies and preferably a certification in Project Management in Agile & Scrum;
  • Preferably knowledge of functional safety and development processes compliant to safety standards (ex. ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO13849, ISO 9001);
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance requirements (ex. Automotive SPICE) and how these requirements tie to the Quality Management System requirements (ex. IATF-16949) and the external auditing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint;
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills for the English language, with the ability to clearly convey project status and timelines to senior leadership.
