Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial analysis of the Newbern, TN facility to key business stakeholders. This role reports to the Accounting Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Support the plant controller to deliver results / reports in timely and accurate manner with a drive to create efficiencies while checking the completeness and correctness of the required inputs for these reports.
- Drive analysis, control and reporting of Orders, Revenue and Backlog Support manufacturing operations and other Ad Hoc Queries and analysis.
- Review various aspects of plant operations, including, but not limited to manpower analysis, trend analysis, etc.
- Prepare, review, analyze and interpret all financial reports for plant controller, and communicating results to ensure timely and effective decision making.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities.
- Responsible for payroll activities.
- Ensure timely capital projects closing and creation of assets.
- Controlling AP/AR.
- Coordinate with various other departments monthly to ensure all reporting requirements are being met.
- Build and proactively manage strong relationships with business leadership to assist development & continuous improvement.
- Interact with key stakeholders to demonstrate business performances are clearly understood and variances can be explained in detail.
Background & Skills
Required (basic) qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
- 4+ years of experience in accounting
