The Impact You'll Make
You will play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality rubber manufacturing operations by operating mill equipment and ensuring consistent material processing. Your work directly impacts production output, product quality, and continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
This is a 1st Shift position, with shift hours 6:45 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate rubber mill equipment to process materials and meet daily production targets.
- Monitor material consistency, temperature, and processing conditions to ensure quality output.
- Support setup, changeovers, and adjustments to maintain efficient mill operation.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area aligned with 5S standards.
- Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet specifications.
- Identify and escalate defects, inconsistencies, or processing issues.
- Support first-pass yield and scrap reduction efforts.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply 5S and basic lean manufacturing principles.
- Identify opportunities to improve mill operation efficiency and workflow.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math and communication skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in rubber manufacturing or mill operations.
- Knowledge of 5S or lean manufacturing principles.
- Mechanical or machinist experience.
- Previous production or manufacturing experience.
