Job Description

Join our team at Danfoss Climate Solutions, where we are on a journey towards greater energy efficiency, developing next-generation products from concept to launch. We are seeking an Application Software Engineer to join a dedicated engineering team who build up model-based design capabilities in our electronics department in Commercial Compressors. Location will be in Nordborg, Denmark, or Flensburg, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

As an Application Software Engineer on our team, you have the chance to design model-based systems to support a wide variety of customer missions and develop your knowledge and expertise within embedded software development. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize our engineering practices. You will work closely with the control engineering team in developing application software for Compressor controllers, Frequency converters and Condensing units.

 

Furthermore,
 

  • Responsible for implementation of application specific functions in C / C++
  • Participate in simulation of thermodynamic systems.
  • Use model-based design tools to enable fast variant generation by automated code generation.
  • Specifying application level testcases.
  • Verifying application software on system level.
  • Develop the future way of making applications for electronic controllers.

Furthermore, you have/are:

 

  • An educational background within engineering or computer science
  • 1-2 years’ experience after graduation or newly graduated.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink will be a benefit.
  • Knowledge about control theory of dynamical systems.
  • Experience with embedded software engineering, beneficial if it is C or C++ code.
  • Understands the fundamentals of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Knowledge of model-based design processes and development software tools like Modelica/Dymola.
  • Good in English both written and spoken. Danish would also be considered an advantage.
