Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Control Engineer with excellent analytical and technical skills to join our Research and Development team in Nordborg, Denmark.

In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to impact our products’ performance and help ensure that we meet and exceed our customer expectations. You will join a dedicated front-end engineering team who develops electro-hydraulic actuators for controlling hydraulic valve solutions being used for mobile machinery (e.g. agriculture and construction machinery).
As our new Control Engineer you will be responsible for defining, developing and testing control algorithms to our electro-hydraulic valve solutions. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with hardware design engineers, software design, control, simulation and test engineers to create new electro-hydraulic actuated valve solutions that help our customers to develop the best products in their industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to ensuring performance and features of our electro-hydraulic actuated valve solutions, considering the interaction of actuator, software, and valve
- Define and develop the most suited/appropriate control algorithms for our mobile valve solutions
- Perform proof of concept development, test, and validation of control algorithms
- Create the control software specification for implementing the control algorithms into software
- Perform computer-based modelling (Matlab/Simulink) of hydraulic components and systems
- Contribute to maintaining and improving our existing product portfolio within your area of expertise
- Assist design teams in solving problems within your area of expertise
- Document engineering results in engineering reports, trade magazine articles, white papers, and conference papers
Background & Skills
To step into this role, you should hold a Master’s degree in engineering. You do have profound knowledge of hydraulic and control systems (including software), and you do have experience in developing, simulating, testing, and validating various systems around mobile hydraulics. You can apply creative approaches and ideas to solve unfamiliar problems and maximise the effective use of appropriate resources.
Furthermore, we imagine that you have:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic components and systems.
- Strong skills at control theory and signal processing.
- Extensive experience in Matlab / Simulink environment.
- Experience in embedded programming (e.g. C/C++ language) will be an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global organization.
- Good written and spoken English.
