Job Description
Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) is looking for a Cost Down Consultant to drive impactful cost-reduction initiatives across our European manufacturing sites. With a focus on optimizing Indirect Costs (MRO, Transport & Logistics, Packaging, Energy & Utilities), you will lead value-driven consulting projects that reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and enhance our contribution margins.
As part of our global organization with over 61 factories worldwide, you will be responsible for consulting on and leading targeted projects of up to six months duration. The role requires flexibility to travel approximately 60% of the time across the region. When not on-site, you’ll have the freedom to work from home or from one of our offices.
Job Responsibilities
As a Cost Down Consultant, you will work closely with site teams, procurement, logistics, and other support functions, as well as external suppliers, to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities. You’ll act as a trusted advisor and change agent, fostering a performance-driven mindset within the organization.

Lead consulting engagements focused on identifying and implementing indirect cost optimization opportunities

Collaborate with site stakeholders to define project scope, analyze data, and build cross-functional teams

Prepare business cases and tactical implementation plans (TIP) to support decision-making

Drive Performance Management (PMS) to track progress, resolve roadblocks, and ensure delivery on targets

Report project outcomes to senior management and support knowledge sharing across sites

Promote a culture of sustainable cost focus and continuous improvement across the European region
Background & Skills
You bring a strategic consulting mindset with hands-on implementation skills. You are commercially savvy, data-driven, and thrive in multicultural, performance-oriented environments. You are passionate about cost optimization and bring the credibility to influence across functions.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Continuous Improvement within manufacturing or a consulting environment

Demonstrated success in cost-down or efficiency improvement projects

Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics

Strong project leadership and change management skills

Fluent in English (written and spoken)
