Design Engineer

Job Description

Would you like to be part of a global leader developing and producing energy-efficient products and solutions?

Danfoss is looking for a forward-thinking Design Engineer to join our Controls and Thermal Management business unit.

You will be based in Nordborg, Denmark, working closely with local teams and collaborating globally with colleagues in Poland, China, India, and Mexico. 

In this cross-functional environment, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including engineering peers, and partners from product development, quality, procurement, product management, sales, and manufacturing. 

Your work will directly contribute to innovative, energy-efficient solutions with real impact.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, your focus will be on developing new mechanical solutions and improving existing designs to meet high performance and quality standards. You will take part in projects from concept through implementation, applying your technical skills to solve engineering challenges.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and evaluating mechanical products, systems, and processes
• Preparing technical documentation, specifications, and analyses
• Collaborating across disciplines to solve design or operational issues
• Staying up to date with new technologies and trends within design engineering

Background & Skills

We are looking for a candidate with a solid technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. You thrive in a structured and fast-paced environment and are motivated by driving solutions forward in close cooperation with others.

To succeed in this role, you ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experience within product design, development, or engineering research
• Proficiency in Inventor or another 3D CAD tool
• Familiarity with SAP and/or PLM is a plus
• A global mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills
