Job Description
Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for a development-oriented and driven Director, Product Testing who is ready to take on an exciting and challenging position where you will be taking Product testing to the next level.
In this role, you will be part of the Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) Engineering organization reporting to Vice President, R&D and Engineering in RAC. You will be leading a diverse team of highly qualified team leaders and specialist and be responsible for our labs in Denmark, India, China and Poland.

We need your dedicated contribution to reach our ambitions for strengthening Research & Development in our regions. You will be part of our journey towards Agile transformation and Business Model Disruption (Innovative Portfolio for Growth and Differentiation). As Director, Product Testing, one of your key focus areas will be to adopt digitalization and simulation within product and application testing, and bringing us to next level within automation.
Job Responsibilities
Your primary job responsibilities will include:
- Lead and develop the global RD&E Product Testing organization with a clear focus on fast and efficient test execution, documented reliable test setup and zero-defect mindset
- Build-up critical size and competencies to boost innovation, new product development, value engineering and engineering
- Change management towards a new way of working and creating a culture for growth and innovation
- Develop the strategy for virtual testing and IoT in Labs and drive strategy implementation
For this position, the central success criteria are:
- Create a best in class team, that is engaged and empowered with a culture for growth
- Execute and deliver the communicated ambitious goals for the Product Testing Labs
- A new way of working and culture that enables accelerated time to market far-below expected timelines
- Continuous development of managers and teams including succession planning
You should expect around 20 days of travel pr. year.
Background & Skills
We are seeking a driven and visionary leader who can build growth and innovation and has a creative mindset and an executional and structured approach.
To be considered for this position, you should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or similar education, combined with a min. of 5 years of experience in Lab Management with a proven track record from a similar role in a global B2B business. Based on this, you have gained a good engineering aptitude.
Experience working in a matrix environment is an advantage, and you are experienced and confident in leading cross functional teams in multiple locations. You should also have experience collaborating with external partners and off-shoring of verification and testing activities
Other requirements include:
- Practical experience with verification and validation of mechanical/electro-mechanical control product
- Experience with design, simulation, verification and validation of solutions is considered an advantage
- Proven record of utilizing quality tools to manage capability of test equipment
- Fluent and comprehensive English
