Job Description

Are you ready to lead by example, act as a role model, motivate, and inspire others? Then you might be our new Director, Value Engineering.

 

You will take part in building and establish a new Value Engineering Competence Center, to strengthen the Value Engineering in Regions. You will drive a change towards a new way of working and creating a culture for Growth in the Value Engineering Competence Center. You will lead the development in becoming the best-in-class team to secure innovative thinking by establishing the right inspiration and cooperation method. This will provide opportunities and recognition, but also requires a sense of urgency, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions. 

Job Responsibilities

As our new Director, Value Engineering, you will be part of the Research, Development & Engineering Leadership Team and report into the Vice President. You will lead, structure, and organize the Value Engineering team of app. 10-15 persons located in Europe and APAC. It will be important to facilitate global collaboration and challenge others constructively. Build up critical size and competencies to boost the Value Engineering and enable the regional teams to accelerate the time to market far-below-expected timelines.

 

Another main responsibility will be to manage a stakeholder network and influence the connected network with a common objective. You will perform technical feasibility studies on potential ideas and categorize based on feasibility. Create transparency of potential savings, highlighting technical feasibility, resource estimation, timing etc.

You are an experienced Leader who hold a strong understanding of change and able to handle stakeholders at all levels. You have the drive that it takes, are eager to challenge and can embrace the ongoing changes that we meet every day.

You see the bigger picture and at the same time, you can transfer it into a structured way of working which permits you to come up with the right solutions, and you are willing to make the necessary decisions.

 

You define yourself as energetic, creative, and self-driven with high motivation to gain results and solve complex issues under time pressure. You should thrive working with different cultures, mindsets, backgrounds and in a matrix and fast-paced environment.

 

Furthermore.

 

  • 5 years’ experience in Leadership with proven track record in execution of technical cost down programs
  • Practical experience in Change, Transformation and Turn around Management
  • Experience with design, simulation, verification, and validation of mechanical/electro-mechanical control product
  • Strong and effective written, verbal, and presentation skills in English
