Job Description

Danfoss Cooling is looking for a Line Quality Engineer for our electronical portfolio of expansion devices in Nordborg. As our Line Quality Engineer, you will replace the existing Line Quality Engineer who after many years in the position takes up a new challenge within the department.  You will be a team member in a department consisting of 20 people working in an exciting and cool environment with a high degree of team spirit and independence. 

 

The role as Line Quality Engineer is a diverse role, which means that you will have the opportunity to conduct many different tasks and engage with multiple functions. As a Line Quality Engineer, you are working with continuous improvement in the production and your tasks cover the following responsibility areas:

 

 

  • Attend in change controls when implementing change requests for the electronical expansion line. 
  • Collaboration with stakeholders across the value chain.
  • Conduct product audits.
  • Contribute to the run in of newly developed products and implementation of new production equipment.
  • Execute PPAP’s.
  • GENBA’s & FTA’s.
  • Follow-up on quality deviations linked to the product portfolio.
  • Issue and handle production line waivers.
  • Improve line quality processes and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Measure line KPI’s and setting actions.
  • Monitor production stops and facilitate the 8D process.
  • Participate in audits on site.
  • Prepare statistical data, paretos, presentations etc.

 

Your overall objective is to ensure that Product Quality is always at the top of the agenda for the given area covering the entire value chain from supplier to customer, guaranteeing that the finished goods always meet specifications. 

Background & Skills

You have a background as a technician or engineer (B.Sc.). Alternatively, your background could be an admin education with flair for automation, technology, systems, processes and experience from industrial manufacturing.  Our preferred candidate has a couple of years’ experience from the automotive industry, and a strong knowledge of IATF 16949, quality and lean tools.

 
You are meticulous and take pride in following your tasks through while maintaining a solid overview. In addition, you are systematic, have strong coordination skills and possess an analytical mindset. You thrive in a fast-changing environment in which you act as a structured multitasker on the shop floor as well as in the administration. Last, but not least, you possess both written and spoken English and Danish language skills.
