Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a committed Global Category Manager to Electrical Parts team focusing on electronics and semiconductors. If you are passioned about setting new directions and creating strategies in procurement area – this position is exactly what you are looking for! You will lead activities to ensure cost competitive and well performing supplier base. 
 

Job Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities and tasks on this position will be to:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing electronic components, especially semiconductors strategy globally and lead and coordinate strategy activities in the category team and across Danfoss segments worldwide. Furthermore, you have the task of planning and lead negotiations of your own category responsibilities and at the same time strategically build reliable and robust supply chains.

To fulfill these strategies, you need to ensure that the supplier governance is in place within category related suppliers, but also look for future technologies and accelerate cost-down impact from suppliers driving and executing a sustainable savings pipeline across all levers while utilizing cross-functional teams.

It is vital to stay in front, so actively research trends within sub-category and technology incl. how other industries impact the sub-category e.g. supply, pricing, investments etc. is key. As an ad on to this you will also have the full and proactive responsibility for supplier performance, meaning that you will use your experience and knowledge to form and spearhead an effective supplier relationship management acting as the Danfoss key account and supplier development activities. Finally understanding the commodity market and how this impacts the sub-category is also essential for fulfillment of this role.
 

Background & Skills

Candidates we are looking for preferably have:
•    A commercial degree or an Engineering background at bachelor’s or master’s level topped with solid commercial understanding.
•    3+ years of relevant experience from an international organization including direct category management
•    Great negotiation skills with outstanding networking skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers and stakeholders while navigating safely in complex relations.
•    Be able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
•    Be a proactive self-starter with a high commitment and a positive can-do attitude.
•    Have diplomatic skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
•    Preferably a background within the semiconductors, microcontrollers area.
•    Result-oriented, analytical approach to the tasks.
•    Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
