If you can say yes to the above then you could be our new Innovation Manager for Product Platform Design in Danfoss High Pressure Pumps [HPP]. HPP is growing and we are looking to strengthen our organization by recruiting for this new role.

The clear focus for the role is to support, guide and lead the design team in delivering new technologies, products and product platforms to our customers. This is to be done by both strengthening the internal team and equally important to build relationships and partnership with external suppliers, industry partners, universities, and customers.

Amongst our key products are pumps and energy recovery devices used in equipment and systems for freshwater production through reverse osmosis. They also find application in dust and fire suppression, humidification, wastewater filtration and gas turbines. We are more than 100 visionary and innovative colleagues in HPP, who develops, manufactures, and delivers products, system solutions and services within high pressure water hydraulic products such as pumps, valves, turbines, pressure exchangers, etc.

Job Responsibilities

We use a wide range of technologies and solutions to realize creative concepts into real products and solutions, such as high-end simulations, 3D printing, advanced testing and validation setups to name but a few. We have strategies within all our technology development areas to support a digital journey that will deliver radical and profound new opportunities to accelerate innovation and bring Danfoss Value to our customers.

Your key responsibilities and that of the team you will be leading are:

• Ensuring team and people performance by developing team members

• Ensure the development of competencies for current and future activities and define which are to be developed internally and which are to be found through external partnerships

• Deliver new products and product platforms to the business

• Ensure prioritization, focus, agility and speed in projects and other activities

• Ownership of HPP Innovation Field Test strategy, where we together with customers run early product and technology test in real customer applications in the field.

• Has experience with leading technical teams within product development.

• Holds a Master degree in engineering, natural sciences or equivalent

• Experience from hydraulic industry and/or desalination industry is a benefit but not a requirement.

• Is proficient in written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus.

• Thrives in a team that values both team achievements and individual success.

• Is self-driven and take ownership of own assignments and continuously looks for new ways to view challenges and opportunities to create maximum value.

• Is open minded with a positive attitude and a cross functional mindset

• Is capable of understanding and taking into account the full product lifecycle.

• Is motivated by working in an environment that appreciates initiative, drive and innovation.

HPP has design offices in Denmark and India and we work with customers, suppliers and partners across the world. You should expect travel of approx. 25 days per year.
