As our new Laboratory Engineer, you will be at the heart of our commitment to quality, ensuring our advanced pressure, heat, and gas sensors meet the highest standards. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and excellence of products that are essential to industries worldwide.
You will be a foundational member of our new laboratory team at our state-of-the-art plant in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a unique opportunity to shape our local testing capabilities from the ground up, establishing best practices and driving our success in a growing market.
Working as part of our Global Laboratories organization, you will connect with colleagues across the world. You’ll share crucial insights and ensure the lessons learned in Sofia help elevate the performance and quality of Danfoss products everywhere.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensure product quality and reliability through ongoing, hands-on testing of new prototypes and items from the production line
- Take full ownership of our laboratory processes, driving continuous improvement projects and ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained to the highest standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Quality, to prioritize testing schedules and swiftly resolve any product challenges
- Connect with our Global Laboratories network, sharing insights from our Sofia plant and aligning on best practices to elevate quality across all Danfoss sites
- Manage relationships with external partners for the calibration and maintenance of our specialized equipment, ensuring our lab operates at peak efficiency
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an engineer who can combine the discipline of daily testing with the drive to take initiative and bring new projects to life. Your quality mindset and passion for technology are just as important as your specific experience.
- A background in a relevant engineering field like electrical, software (coding), mechanical, or chemical, combined with a genuine interest in working with sensors and advanced testing technology
- Proven experience in a testing laboratory environment, with hands-on skills in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and IT equipment
- A proactive and independent mindset with a genuine passion for continuous improvement and creative problem-solving
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, essential for working effectively with our global teams
- A strong willingness to learn and grow, with experience in CAD design, programming, or advanced electronics considered a great asset
