Job Description

Join our team at Danfoss Climate Solutions, where we are on a journey towards greater energy efficiency, developing next-generation products from concept to launch. We are seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to join a dedicated engineering team who build up model-based design capabilities in our electronics department in Commercial Compressors. Location will be in Nordborg, Denmark, or Flensburg, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

Working alongside partners, you'll play a pivotal role in developing the next generation frequency converter dedicated to compressors, featuring a unique set of attributes. Your primary task will involve selecting main components and overseeing hardware design for the frequency converter. Collaborating closely with designated teams, you'll ensure that products align with relevant standards and fulfill customer needs.



More specifically, you will be:

 

  • Accountable for the high quality of the designs to meet the requirements.
  • Responsible for the design documents
  • Ensure design is compatible with approval standards.
  • Work with Cross functional teams (product management, Supply chain, quality department) to define specifications for customer specific products.
  • Balancing product cost and performance
  • Risk management and D-FMEA

Background & Skills

At a personal level, you have solid analytical abilities, effective communication skills and a positive and open mind. You have team spirit that can build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures. The right candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Hardware Electronics Design or Power electronics engineering.
  • Good knowledge of power, analogue, mixed signal, and digital design.
  • Good knowledge of the different certifications regarding EMC/EMI, LVD, RoHS, RED, FCC, UL etc.
  • Frequency converter knowledge.
  • Efficient debugging and testing skills (signal treatment, EMI/EMC).
  • Experience with e-CAD programs would be an advantage.
  • Experience with requirement management tools. e.g., Polarian or similar
  • Good in English both written and spoken. Danish would also be considered an advantage.
