As our Lead Technician, you'll play a key role in building and testing prototype refrigeration systems that support development activities across Danfoss.
This is a highly hands-on role where you'll use your technical experience to build custom prototype setups, troubleshoot technical challenges, and help bring concepts to life. You'll work closely with engineers, technicians, and internal stakeholders across Danfoss, ensuring prototypes are built efficiently and projects move smoothly from start to finish.
The environment is dynamic, with multiple activities running in parallel and a strong focus on practical execution. While you'll take the technical lead on projects, this is not a people management role. Success comes from your ability to organize work, coordinate activities, and apply your technical knowledge to deliver working prototype solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working as part of a newly established prototype team, you'll combine practical technical work with project coordination responsibilities.
- Build and assemble prototype refrigeration systems and custom test setup
- Coordinate prototype activities from project kick-off through completion, ensuring tasks and workflows are organized and progressin
- Work from electrical, thermal, and P&ID drawings to build and troubleshoot prototype system
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Danfoss, including colleagues without an engineering backgroun
- Support testing, problem-solving, and continuous improvements to prototype solutions and working methods
What We're Looking For
You enjoy practical technical work and are comfortable taking ownership of activities from planning through execution.
Essential qualifications:
- Educational background as a Marine Engineer, Automation Technician or similar technical discipline
- Experience building, assembling, or troubleshooting refrigeration systems or other complex technical equipment
- Experience coordinating technical tasks or projects in a workshop, manufacturing, service, or similar environment
- Ability to read and understand electrical, thermal, and P&ID drawings
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PCSCHEMATIC, or similar technical drawing tools
Knowledge of flow systems, fluid dynamics, and related technical documentation would be an advantage. Experience working with colleagues across different functions and locations is also beneficial.
