Job Description

Danfoss EDITRON in Nordborg is expanding our team, and therefore we are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer which will be the process responsible for our newly established manufacturing line.

 

Danfoss EDITRON is leading the electrification revolution. EDITRON is specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the marine, off-highway and on-highway markets. Danfoss EDITRON develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty vehicles, machines and marine vessels. In EDITRON Nordborg we are establishing the footprint for a high-volume inverter production for all markets.

 

You will be a part of an agile team which is transferring the setup towards running production, and your location will be in Nordborg, Denmark.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the manufacturing equipment and processes used to produce inverters. You will work closely together with our R&D to implement improvements and new products in production.

                                                                                     

Other key areas of responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing process flow charts, PFMEAs, control plans and detailed work instructions for new products/processes
  • Optimization of manufacturing processes for production flow, costs reduction, quality improvement and capacity expansion
  • Providing production floor layouts using CAD and identify utility requirements for the new equipment
  • Root Cause Problem Solving for product and processes
  • Work with global manufacturing engineer team for a smooth implementation of new equipment in our manufacturing
  • Designing fixtures and tooling for manufacturing processes
  • Ensuring that fixtures and equipment are safe for our employees to use
  • Developing packaging requirements for incoming and outgoing products
  • Continuous improvement projects

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, we expect you to have a bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar, combined with at least 5 years of working experience from a similar position. 

 

Additionally, you bring:

  • Experience with electronic assemblies and high voltage electrical test
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and determine root causes
  • Experience with LabView and CAN communication
  • Use of CAD (e.g., NX) for layout and fixture designs
  • User of MS Office, Teamcenter PLM, APIS IQ-RM & Minitab
  • Fluent in English and Danish
