We are seeking a Senior Innovation Engineer, Solutions & Platforms with a strong mechanical engineering background to help develop next-generation components within our ACR RD&E organization.

This is a role for a curious, hands-on engineer who loves turning ideas into validated prototypes and real products. At Danfoss, your mechanical expertise directly contributes to technologies that support global climate goals — and you’ll collaborate with some of the most talented engineers in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this senior engineering role, you will independently drive your own development projects and contribute to the future product platforms of Danfoss:

· Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts using 3D/2D design, simulation, GD&T, and modern manufacturing technologies.

· Build and validate new product concepts — from idea to prototype testing and evaluation.

· Conduct structured test planning, execution, and analysis in collaboration with our advanced laboratories.

· Work closely with the RAC RD&E team, product lines, and our Innovation & Technology specialists to mature next-generation refrigeration and A/C control components.

· Participate in performance analysis, prototype testing, and component validation using modern tools and methodologies.

· Ensure that designs meet Danfoss’ high standards for quality, reliability, and compliance.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for an engineering profile with strong mechanical competences, hands-on mindset, and a deep curiosity for how things work:

· Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.

              o We are open to strong Bachelor profiles as well — especially those with practical experience and a passion for mechanics.

· Fundamental understanding of thermodynamics, refrigeration principles, and general system behavior.

· Experience with system controls, valve behavior, and basic PI/PID understanding.

· Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex mechanical behaviors and translate them into robust designs.

· Some years of relevant experience in mechanical R&D, product development, or similar (flexible depending on profile).
