Job Location(s):

Nordborg, DK

Job Description

Danfoss Residential Heating is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our Burner Components organization and to take design and product responsibility for the nozzle portfolio. As our new Senior Product Engineer, you will play a key role as our nozzle portfolio is a business of high importance for Burner Components.

We are looking for a specialist who can provide great technical knowledge to help us maintain and secure our world leading position as nozzle manufacturer, within our core business, oil burner nozzles, as well as new business areas requiring high performing nozzles/spraying systems.

You will not only be the technical expert, your commercial flair is also a leaver to be successful, and we expect you to develop your expertise continuously. You will act as the “knowledge center” - primarily on product development of nozzles but also within core manufacturing processes for nozzle production.

This means you will have engineering and product responsibility on both the brass- and steel nozzle business where you will be working with product development (fluidic dynamics and material), application (understanding customers’ needs and application), and manufacturing (high precision machining and flow measurement principles).

Applying your technical knowledge, your starting point in product development will be to gain an understanding of the customers’ setup and needs and advising on the best technical solution. Next, you will validate solutions by test sample production, product testing and pilot production in close cooperation with our experienced and skilled production employees.

The position is located in Nordborg.

Background & Skills

To be considered for this role, you should have a higher level of technical knowledge within mechanical engineering and fluid dynamics. You hold a relevant education background and at least 4-7 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role. Your solid technical skills are combined with a hands-on approach and you have flair for product testing and for driving activities that involve cooperation with our experienced production employees.

Furthermore, we are looking for a person with the ability to act as a competent partner for our customers. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required, as you will be interacting with stakeholders at different levels inside and outside of the organization. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have:

  • A systematic and detail-oriented mindset, to maintain a high-level quality position
  • A natural ability and desire to impact and build trust
  • Commercial business understanding
  • A passion for your technical area and a desire for professional and personal development
  • A natural curiosity and eagerness in seeking the best solutions
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Able to speak Danish/German – or eager to learn this short term
