Job Description

Join our team at Danfoss Climate Solutions, where we're on a journey towards greater energy efficiency, developing next-generation products from concept to launch. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dedicated engineering team who build up model-based design capabilities in our electronics department in Commercial Compressors. Location will be in Nordborg, Denmark, or Flensburg, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as our new Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing our software platform for frequency converter and compressor control applications. Your responsibilities will include software specification, code implementation, and unit validation to meet customer requirements. Additionally, you'll coordinate and execute R&D activities within your assigned project, ensuring thorough documentation and collaboration with the team to develop and maintain software architecture and enable software reusability.


Furthermore,

Responsible for implementation of embedded software platform specific functions in C / C++.
Participate in writing the requirement specification together with the team.
You will have a great focus on code quality and on software reusability.
Contribute to test case implementation for our automated test system.
Keep and contribute to the software design structure.

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s and or master’s in computer science or related software engineering field or similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills. You like working with software development processes.

 

Furthermore, you have/are:

 

  • Preferable 3-5 years’ experience from within the field of software development 
  • Experience within embedded software development / coding within C/C++, Python, etc.
  • Experience within software specification & test traceability.
  • Basic experiences with connected products and IoT solutions
  • Familiar in working with task management tools & Scrum frameworks
  • Fluent and comprehensive in English
