Job Description

We are currently looking for a new team member to join our diverse team. In this role, you will be part of the Regional Application Expert team where you will get every opportunity to influence your own work situation and have an important impact on our success working on innovative and state of the art operation systems and solutions.

 

You could either work from your Home Office or in our modern offices in Hamburg or Offenbach / Brussels / Rotterdam / Guntramsdorf / Frenkendorf. We expect to travel a minimum of 75 days per year.

Job Responsibilities

As responsible for developing software solutions for HVAC/R market, such as smart device management, Chiller/Heat Pump software, software for Smart Building management and cloud integration, you will work closely together with our customers to develop sustainable software for their systems.
You will contribute to all phases of development including requirement capturing, specification development, design, software development and validation/verification. Responsibilities will likely also include development and integrating Danfoss smart components and electronic components into complete control systems. 

 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Develop software solutions for PLC controllers using graphical and textual programming
  • Cooperate with external partners – consultants, customers, IT departments
  • Design and implement software which interfaces with serial communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP or CANopen
  • Function as the bridge between OEM system engineers and our Software development team
  • Provide maintenance and support for existing applications
  • Facilitate development of use case specifications with internal and external customers
  • Take part in commissioning start-ups at customer sites or at Danfoss´ test centers


To accomplish these tasks, we will provide you with a neutral company car - also for private use.

Background & Skills

  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education
  • Experience in HVAC&R system development and knowledge of programming with Python, Node-RED, C/C++ and IEC 61131-1 coding
  • Experience with agile projects (SCRUM)
  • Experience with HTML and JS development as well as REACT source projects
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to communicate technical and business issues in clear and concise language
  • Ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and a hands-on mentality
  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)

For this position we offer an attractive salary package consisting of an annual gross salary of at least 39,200 euros with possible overpayment adapted to your qualifications and experience as well as an annual performance payment.
