The Impact You'll Make
As an Operations Supervisor at Danfoss, you will be responsible for leading, facilitating and coordinating the production activities and resources for assembly lines. Your key focus will be ensuring the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations while keeping safety first.
The Operations Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager and operate out of the Shawnee, OK facility. The working hours for this role are 6 am- 2 pm. Relocation and work authorization support cannot be provided for this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You will leverage the Danfoss Business Systems (DBS) values, tools, and practices to drive performance excellence. In addition, you will partner with Operations Excellence (Lean, Quality, and Safety) to achieve continuous improvement results and foster a continuous improvement culture.
- You will facilitate assembly or component manufacture schedules on your shift by guiding a production team comprised of skilled Leads, Technicians, Machinists and Assemblers. Also, you will ensure accurate inventory levels and keep the transaction accuracy within compliance to accounting principles.
- You will coordinate Department staffing and overtime levels to achieve productivity and financial results.
- You will follow Supervisor’s Standard Work process and ensure all reports are following their Standardized Work processes.
- You will ensure a high level of morale through positive employee relations, and drive for a culture of continuous improvement. Establish/monitor goals, provide performance feedback, establish development plans and provide coaching to direct reports.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, 2 years of manufacturing experience and 1- year supervisory experience in a Lean/Continuous Improvement Philosophy Environment is required.
- 8 years of manufacturing experience and 2 years supervisory experience in a Lean/Continuous Improvement Philosophy Environment.
- Strong communication skills in ability to successfully communicate with all levels in the organization.
- Experience with machining and assembly is strongly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma training or certification is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
