Job Description

We are looking for a VAVE  Engineer under 3rd party who will be part of VAVE RD&E Team in Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls Division (RAC). Candidate will report to Senior Manager VAVE.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Initiate Idea Generation Workshops to generate Design-to-Cost / Cost-Down Ideas along with Value Proposition.
  • Execute feasibility study for Idea Validation.
  • Key stakeholder in executing and implementing the identified cost down ideas.
  • Responsible to complete the activities defined in all milestone deliverables.
  • Preparation of 3D cad models, 2D engineering drawings and BOM and adhering to the Danfoss release process.
  • Collaborating with cross functional team and external suppliers for prototype and testing activities.
  • Responsible for using Design Tools during the project phases.

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree-in-Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering with 2-4 years of experience in VAVE.
  • Proficient Knowledge on VAVE Processes and Guidelines.
  • Knowledge in Testing & Validation of Parts and Products.
  • Good understanding of Risk Assessment. 
  • Selecting appropriate Materials for defined application needs.
  • Knowledge of different materials and their applications.
  • Know-how of Material Treatment processes and their applications
  • Proficient knowledge and know-how of different Manufacturing Processes.
  • Part Manufacturing, viz., Forging, Casting, Moulding, Forming, Machining, etc.
  • Assembly Manufacturing, viz., Fastening, Welding/Brazing, Press-fit, etc.
  • Joint-Design-Discussions with Suppliers for Part Development.
  • Analyse Design for CO2 emissions, propose a suitable solution for low CO2 emission.Knowledge of Structural Simulation and further Analysis for improving Design.
  • Know-how on Fluid Simulation
  • Know-how of ESG initiatives.
  • Basic knowledge on Circularity, Decarbonization and Take-Back Programs.
  • Initiating & Executing VAVE Projects with ESG as one of the primary aspects.
